 how does black panther fit into the marvel franchise? - black panther fits into the marvel franchise as the character black panther was introduced in another marvel film captain america civil war. therefore marvel fans were already familiarised with the character and can explore black panthers narrative. it fits the action genre of marvel and appeals to the target audience. 
was makes it different?successful? - it's a movie about what it means to be black in both america and africa and, more boradly, the world. rather that dodge complicated themes about race and identity, the film grapples head-on with the issues affecting modern-day black life. it s also incredibly entertaining, filled with timely comedy, sharply choreographed action and gorgeously lit people of all colours.
