LNWH product context - a spin off from the long running BBC Radio 4 daily magazine programme, women's hour. - began broadcasting in 2015 on a limited basis, but it was so popular it became permanently monthly then in 2018 , weekly.  - recorded weekly, hosted by Emma Barnett (occasionally with founder Lauren Laverne). - features women guests from a range of backgrounds including science, health and entertainment. - each episode focuses on a particular theme relevant to its female audience. e.g 'lost friends' or  'extreme breastfeeding'.  - original broadcast was on Thursday nights at 11pm meaning it was past the watershed of 9pm allowing explicit and honest discussions.  -since becoming a podcast , the show has become less controversial.  historical context -first broadcast in the 1940's. -original show reflects tokenism (a show set aside for women might imply that all other radio how's were oriented towards men). - features frank a...
